We are having some of our normal winter weather these days, there’s lots of snow, and it’s cold outside. We can’t say it is unexpected, it just took a bit longer to get here this year, and I for one am not complaining. Once we get through this patch of colder weather, I hope we have some more pleasant winter weather again. I mean minus 10 or better. That’s pleasant winter weather. And please, no more snow.

Chase the Ace

The seven of clubs was picked last Saturday at Chase the Ace, so the game continues this Saturday, Jan. 20 with a jackpot of $8,401. Remember that tickets are only $1 each and are sold only from 5-7:45 p.m., with the draw at 8:15 p.m. So come on down to the Richer Inn and get your tickets.

Dinner & dance

The next Richer Young at Hearts dinner and dance is this Saturday, Jan. 20 with music by Dennis Nykoliation. Dinner is at 6 p.m. with dancing until 11 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and can be reserved by calling Ron at 431-275-0874.

General meeting

The Richer Metis Local will hold their general meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8 at the Richer Young at Hearts Hall.

One Night in Italy…Anola Style

The Anola Community Enhancement Association presents One Night in Italy…Anola Style this Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Anola Community Club. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Enjoy a delicious pasta dinner and support our 2024 Parade of Lights and Fireworks. We will also hold a silent auction and 50/50 draw. Tickets are $15 for adults, $7 for children 6-10 and free for kids five and under. Tickets can be purchased at Shell/Settlers, Petro/Lake Trail, Anola Building Centre, Dugald Store, any Enhancement member you may know, call 204-866-3035 or message “Anola Enhancement Association” on Facebook.
