Life is like…

Years ago, I was in a group setting where we were having conversations about life. The question was posed, what analogy would we each make to life? I remember one person stating her perception that life is like a roller coaster. Then there’s the famous song, “Life is a Highway” by Tom Cochrane in 1991 (could it really be 33 years ago already?).

I like to think of life as an amusement park. There are unlimited options to experience. Some you’re brave enough to try; some don’t interest you at all. Some people seem happy just to observe others like they have no idea how they even got there. Then there are those whose arms are filled with prizes and milewide smiles from hitting up everything that’s available to them. The interesting thing is they aren’t the same people every time.

I have recently been decently unwell and in bed while my husband stayed home and did all the household and parenting duties while I rested. So…much…resting.

During this time the construction of new homes off Friesen Ave has been developing quickly. By spring they will house new families in our town.

The house on Bramblewood that has gone through significant demolition since the fire last year is now in the rebuilding stage. It will be ready for the return of the family who call it home in spring as well.

Happy Hive Daycare is coming along slowly, too slow for the many families waiting to use the hospitality for their children.

If you’re interested in getting to know more about the Happy Hive Daycare in Kleefeld, there will be an open house Tuesday, Mar. 5 from 7-9 p.m. at the Kleefeld Recreation Centre. There will be a presentation at 7:30 p.m.

KRA meeting

The next Kleefeld Recreation Association meeting is Tuesday, Mar. 12 at 7 p.m. Come on down and hear the thoughts being voiced and decisions being made. The meetings are welcoming to everyone. If you have questions or thoughts about life in Kleefeld, this is the place to come with them. Contact Kurt Friesen at 204-392-3931 a minimum of a week prior to the meeting to get a spot on the agenda and be heard.
